Robert Edward Meyer

MEYER, Robert Edward, 63, passed away after a short illness from cancer on November 20, 2012 at the Hospice Care of Hackensack, Hackensack, NJ. Robert was born in 1949, lived most of his life in Maywood, NJ, and worked in NJ as an electronics salesman. He attended school in Maywood and later completed his MA at Montclair State University. An avid reader of history and politics, Robert was known for his special fondness for and care of animals. For some years, he worked as a volunteer at WBAI Radio, MY and with local humanitarian and health organizations. 
Members of his extended family are in France, California, Texas and Georgia, notably his aunt, Carol Mockett. He is survived by his loving mother Paulette Liechti of Maywood. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Hackensack-area homeless center of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral service Mon., Nov. 26, 2012 at 12 Noon at the Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, Maywood, NL. Burial to follow at Hackensack Cemetery. Visiting Mon. 10 AM to 12 Noon.
